Author Guidelines

Jurnal Emunah i, published by Yayasan Shema Abadi Indonesia, accepts manuscripts in the form of research articles, literature reviews, theological reflections, and conceptual papers in the fields of theology and Christian education.

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Research articles (empirical or qualitative).

  • Conceptual papers or literature reviews.

  • Book reviews relevant to theology and Christian education.

2. Language

  • Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English in proper academic style.

  • Theological terms in foreign languages should be accompanied by translations or explanations when necessary.

3. Manuscript Length

  • Articles: 4,000–7,000 words (including references).

  • Book reviews: minimum 1,500 words.

4. Writing Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).

  • Paper size: A4, margin 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, justified alignment.

5. Structure of Research Articles

  • Title (maximum 15 words, capitalize each word, clear and informative).

  • Author(s) Name (without academic title), accompanied by institutional affiliation and corresponding email.

  • Abstract (150–250 words, written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, including purpose, method, results, and conclusion).

  • Keywords (3–5 words).

  • Introduction (background, research problem, objectives, brief literature review).

  • Methodology (research type, data sources, analysis techniques).

  • Results and Discussion (research findings and critical analysis).

  • Conclusion and Suggestions.

  • References.

6. Citation & References Style

  • Use APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition.

  • In-text citation example: (Smith, 2020) or Smith (2020).

  • Reference list examples:

    Book:
    Nouwen, H. J. M. (1979). The Wounded Healer: Ministry in Contemporary Society. New York: Image Books.

    Journal Article:
    Susanto, R. (2021). Christian Education in the Digital Era. Journal of Theology and Education, 15(2), 123–135. https://doi.org/xxxxx

7. Tables and Figures

  • Tables should be numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.) with titles above the table.

  • Figures should be numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.) with captions below the figure.

  • Data sources must be cited if not original to the author’s research.

8. Originality and Publication Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be original, free from plagiarism, and not previously published elsewhere.

  • All manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. The maximum similarity threshold is 20%.

9. Review Process

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Authors are required to revise manuscripts according to reviewers’ feedback.

10. Publication Fees

  • The publication fee for accepted articles is IDR 150,000.

  • Payment is made only after the manuscript has been accepted.

11. Submission of Manuscripts

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal System (OJS) of Jurnal Shema Abadi at: [journal OJS website link].

  • Authors are required to register an account before uploading manuscripts.
